Come hike and enjoy the beauty of the Crooked Brook Forest in the Ferguson Valley and Wellington National Park on this sweet little getaway. Admire the majestic Wellington Dam Mural; said the be the biggest dam mural in the world, explore the surrounding swimming holes, boutique wineries & breweries, splurge by having a Devonshire Tea at Evedon Lakeside Retreat and kick back around the campfire of an evening.... aah, bliss!!

We have designed a camping, self drive, self cater (except for lunches & pre dinner nibbles) BYO camp gear trip, to provide an alternative experience to our 'fully packaged' adventures.
10.00am - Commence walking the 10km Marri Loop Trail (Grade 3)
The Marri Trail is a 10 kilometre moderate walk through jarrah and marri forest in the Crooked Brook Forest, Dardanup. The trail has several scenic lookouts spots over Bunbury and the Ferguson Valley.
12.30/1.00pm - Lunch making station set up by your guide under the shade of the trees or shelter (Lunch supplied by AW)
2.00pm - Leave in convoy for our camp at Wellington National Park - Visit the Dam Mural en-route to capture the stunning artistic masterpiece that is said to be the largest dam mural in the world!
3.00pm - Set up camp
6.00pm - Sunset Drinks & Nibbles around the campfire (Nibbles supplied by AW)
7.00pm - All meet around the BBQ for a cook up (BYO Barbie Dinner)

8.30am - Commence hiking the Kurliiny-tjenagitj trail, a loop walk returning back to Honeymoon Pool (Grade 3) then drive back to camp.
Kurliiny Tjenangitj meaning "come and see" in the Noongar language, is a 9.5 kilometre loop trail that ascends, often steeply, through forest to a lookout offering views over the Collie River valley. From there the trail ascends less steeply along a four wheel drive track, until it meets the Mundi Biddi Track again.
1.00pm - Lunch making station will be set up back at camp, so come together and make your own, pull up a pew and enjoy! (Lunch supplied by AW)
Afternoon at leisure to explore this beautiful area with so many options: Take a swim at Potters Gorge or Honeymoon Pool, hire a mountain bike from The Kiosk, visit Evedon Lakeside Retreat for a Devonshire Tea, drop into one of the nearby wineries or breweries if you’d like to indulge in a tasting, or simply spend the afternoon relaxing around camp.
6.00pm - Sunset Drinks & Nibbles around the campfire (nibbles supplied by AW)
7.00pm - (BYO dinner - BBQ’s available or BYO gas cooker if you prefer to heat up something other than BBQ)

The Jabitj Trail, meaning running water in the Noongar language, is a delightful trail that follows the Collie River between Wellington Dam and Honeymoon Pool offering views of the rapids and pools along the way - you may even like to go for a refreshing dip!
For those who don’t wish to walk, pack up at your leisure and check out of the campgrounds by 10.00am.
11.00am - or thereabouts, we finish the walk at Honeymoon Pool where we’d left some of the vehicles and drive a short distance back to The Kiosk. Once we’re all back there, it’s time to say our goodbyes and head for home, or grab a cuppa and a bite to eat at The Kiosk before you do so (optional).

We have booked a group camping section at Potters Gorge Campground, situated on the shore of the Wellington Dam in a shady Jarrah and Marri forest setting. The sites are unpowered and there are no showers, however there are no-flush pit toilets. There are gas BBQ's, picnic tables / chairs, a shelter, benches for preparing food, sink for washing up, non-potable water and a fire pit.
Our site is 'TENT ONLY' for groups and is not suitable for Campervans or Caravans. BYO Tent / Sleeping & Camping Equipment.
This trip by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is happy to camp, use a drop toilet and go without a shower for a night or two.
