It's an early start today to ensure we make the most of our time in Litchfield National Park. After we pack up, we head into Buley Rockholes where we indulge in a relaxing morning dip while there are few people visiting this popular site. After our dip we enjoy breakfast, then head further into the park to explore Tjanera Falls (Sandy Creek), one of the best falls in the park, only accessible via a 4WD track, deterring most of the crowds. After our adventurous 4WD, we'll hike to this pretty pool and enjoy a swim, cooling off for the return hike. Once back at the car-park, we'll have lunch and get changed into dry clothes before heading back to Darwin, visiting another popular site in the park along the way. We should arrive in Darwin at around 5pm.
As our arrival in Darwin coincides with the famous Mindil Beach Sunset Markets (held only on Thursday and Sunday nights), you may wish to head down to the markets, grab a bite to eat and watch the sun go down .....great way to finish out your time in the Top End.

If you are travelling with a friend or family and wish to share with them the whole time, please let us know
This tour by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is looking for a unique and rewarding 'experience'! You should be able to adopt a "Go With The Flow" attitude, after-all we are travelling in the Outback, we're camping and need to pitch in and help with some camp duties, our driving distances can be lengthy on some of the days and things may not always go to plan (ie: road closures, park closures, route changes) ...This will help you chill out and therefore get the best out of your holiday.
You will also need to be mobile without assistance - some of the sights require you to be on your feet for a reasonable amount of time, navigating rocky steps and uneven surfaces at times, particularly in the gorge areas. We also have a couple of hikes as part of this tour - these hikes can be achieved by anyone with a good general level of fitness, but again mobility is the key, as with all of our tours.
Notice of cancellation must be in writing, with an email as an acceptable form of communication, directly to Adventurous Women with the following conditions:
