Itinerary

Depart Adelaide at 6.30am

Trip to Cape Jervis aboard the Sealink Ferry for a scenic 45 minute crossing, known as the Backstairs Passage, to Penneshaw and Kangaroo Island.

11am – walk along the Iron Hill Cove Hike

Lunch at Seal Bay and tour of the seal colony

Short afternoon walk

Two course dinner prepared by your guides

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Historic Cape de Couedic Lighthouse Cottages

Short morning drive to Hanson Bay

Walk along the Island’s best known walk – the 10 kilometre Hanson Bay Hike

Tour of the caves to appreciate the amazing limestone formations

Before dinner wander around the fabulous formations of Admirals Arch, home to a thriving colony of Australian Fur Seal.

Delicious two-course dinner prepared by your guides

Morning walk known as Snake Lagoon. The trail follows Rocky River and the beach at the end affords spectacular views of the Southern Ocean.

Lunch at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre

Afternoon walk around Rocky River and the chance to glance at platypus in their natural surrounds.

Sunset walk to Remarkable Rocks

Morning departure from Kingscote – walk to one of Kangaroo Island’s highest points – Prospect Hill

Ferry trip from Penneshaw

Small walk of a stunning section of the Deep Creek Conservation Park. The views overlooking the Southern Ocean are vast and the track itself is easy and straightforward.

Accommodation

Cape Du Coedic

Heritage accommodation at Cape Du Coedic. Please note that due to the historical layout of the cottages there is only one bathroom per cottage and there are three rooms per cottage. The cottages are extremely spacious and in superb condition. Meal times are split between those happy to eat their main meal sitting around the fire in the lounge room and those happy to eat at a large dining table, separate in the kitchen. We do not provide alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own beer, wine and/or spirits for the occasion. 

 

Ozone Hotel

Accommodation in both of these hotels is twin share rooms, unless single supplement has been organised. Accommodation is comfortable and of a 3.5 star standard.

Return fights need to be booked from 7.00pm onwards.

Where we depart from in Adelaide:

Our point of departure for the trip will be from outside the Chifley Hotel 208 South Terrace at 6.45am. The early 6.45am start is necessary in order for us to make a 9.00 am ferry crossing from Cape Jervis over to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. As such, we would ask you to be ready by 6.30am for a 6.45am departure.

 


Cancellation & Refunds

Notice of cancellation must be in writing, with an email as an acceptable form of communication, directly to Adventurous Women with the following conditions:

  • 60 days plus prior to trip departure - Loss of deposit
  • 59 - 30 days prior to trip departure - 50% Of The Tour Cost
  • 29 - 15 days prior to trip departure - 75% Of The Tour Cost
  • Within 14 days of the trip departure - 100% Of The Tour Cost

No refund is available after departure of a tour has commenced.
