Explore Historic Albion

Join us on an excursion around the historic Albion district of Brisbane.
From it's early days as a penal settlement to modern status of a much sought after suburb; Albion has a rich and vibrant history that is still represented by the buildings in the area, including the flour mill, iconic Hampton court and a large number of grand houses and halls displaying beautiful architecture. 

Our starting point is the Albion railway station from where we will head out to explore the area with Chris making regular stops to explain the history and significance of various locations. After exploring Albion's history we will pay a quick visit to the divine Amy Sargeantson (Chocolate maker!!), head to Jocelyns Provisions for cakes and other goodies, before finishing up at Neighbourhood Coffee Roasters and then heading back to the station to complete our day.


This is a fairly short walk (2.7kms) with only a few hills along the way but plenty of rest points as we learn about the area.


Please note: We advise that you DON'T park at Albion station if coming by car as it's heavily patrolled and returning to a fine is a sure way to ruin your day.
