Grab your GoCard and join Kat and Caron as we walk along the lavender-blue carpets created by the blooms of Brisbane's spectacular Jacaranda trees.
We begin at the beginning - the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens - where the first tree was planted way back in 1864. Meandering through Southbank, West End, we will be stopping often to take photos of these magnificent trees.
Catching a ferry to UQ provides a restful moment before we spend some time wandering through the grounds of the iconic Brisbane university admiring both the blooms and architecture.
We finish off our adventure with a delicious picnic lunch including a special Jacaranda Celebration cake under the canopy of these beautiful trees in the grounds of UQ.
Toilet facilities can be found at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens and at Ferry terminals and parks along the way.
Ferries and buses are close by to return us home.
