Weather is cooling & we're heading out bush!! Join us on the Bibb Track as we hike between Dwellingup & Etmilyn Siding & return ...A nice full day out on the trails!
Thought it was about time we revisited this section of the Bibbulmun Track and we really look forward to sharing it with you! Some of the track retraces the state's last surviving lightly built developmental railway and depending upon the schedule of the Dwellingup Forest Train, we may snap a pic of it passing by during our walk today.
At the end of the line at Etmilyn there is a 20-25 minute walk trail through the beautiful plant life and seasonal wildflowers of the rare Jarrah Forest. This is a 1km loop trail and is optional for those wanting to explore some more. If you do not wish to walk the loop, you can just relax at the siding and wait until we re-group for lunch, before our return walk back to Dwellingup.
Once back in town, some may wish to stay on for a cuppa at one of the local cafes, or a coldie at "The Dwelly Pub" before heading home.
Distance of Walk: 18km (Optional 1km extra for the Etmilyn Forest Loop Trail) Total 19km
Type of Terrain: Leafy underfoot - reasonably flat with gentle gradients both up and down hill.
Style/Fitness: Easy from a terrain point of view, although moderate in terms of distance covered. A good general level of fitness will ensure you have a more comfortable experience.
