Bali is a destination much loved by so many and for various reasons. The cheap beach holiday might be a bit of cliche and the eat, pray love in Ubud might be verging on the same. Cliches aside, the island is one of the most topographically and geographically stunning places in SE Asia and the sophistication of the Balinese people with their Hindu customs and traditions makes for an intriguing destination.
What we love about Bali is that it is an adventurer's paradise. The varied landscapes and environs lend themselves to hiking, paddling and snorkeling adventures and within a small area, you can experience so much variety.
This tour aims to open your eyes to the possibilities that Bali presents and we just know that it will surprise and delight you.
We convene at 5pm for a group briefing, then our first meal together.

We wrap up our 1.5 hour walk on arrival at a beautiful, hillside venue where the Manggis Women's Association members are waiting to welcome us into the communal kitchen. They are eager to teach you how to cook some of their favourite dishes, but before you start, they will take you on a walk of the surrounding food forest to forage for some key ingredients. We will then cook up a storm and join the women in enjoying the fruits of our labour.
Back in Candi Dasa, this evening's dinner is not included so that you have an opportunity to sample the various options. Your host will certainly be chasing a good meal though, so you are welcome to join her.

From there we take a drive of around 45 minutes and on the way, pay a visit to Kadek & Yulia, a hearing-impaired couple who are stingless bee enthusiasts and are eager for you to sample the honey that they produce with its distinct flavour.
We arrive at Virgin Beach for a tasty local lunch in rustic surrounds. Freshly caught fish is almost a certainty as an inclusion and once you have eaten your fill you can stretch out on a day bed for a siesta. If the winds and tides are right, a swim next to the black volcanic cliffs in turquoise water is a real treat, then we drive around 45 minutes to return to our hotel.

This tour by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is looking for a unique and rewarding 'experience' (Once in a Lifetime)! You should be able to adopt a "Go With The Flow" attitude, after-all we are in a foreign country and things don't always go to plan...this will help you chill out and therefore get the best out of your holiday.
You will also need to be mobile without assistance - some of the sights require you to be on your feet, navigating steps and uneven surfaces at times. We also have a couple of walks as part of this tour - these walks can be achieved by anyone with a general level of fitness, but again mobility is the key, as with all of our tours.
In the event that Adventurous Women cancels a tour or is unable to guarantee the departure of the tour due to not meeting minimum required numbers, we will provide a full refund.
Notice of cancellation must be in writing, with an email as an acceptable form of communication, directly to Adventurous Women with the following conditions:
