Walk in the bold footsteps of the German pioneer women as they made the regular 35km trek from home in Hahndorf to market in Adelaide. Take in the spectacular Adelaide Hills scenery as you wind your way to Beaumont House for the annual Heritage Harvest festival.
An unforgettable challenge and fitting tribute to the women who helped build South Australia.
This year marks 180 years since the establishment of Hahndorf, and it is the 10th year of this event.
Please note this event is run by the National Trust in South Australia. We are just gathering teams to both enjoy the walk and support a great event.
The full walk event starts from Hahndorf Institute and ends at Beaumont House (631 Glynburn Road Beaumont); however, you can choose to join the event at any of the starting points located at Bridgewater, Stirling and Eagle on the Hill.
Buses serve all starting points and there is a return bus to Hahndorf departing Beaumont House at 3.30pm.
All walkers receive free admission to the Heritage Harvest Festival.
Walker registration is with the National Trust and is $20 per person, or $15 for groups of 5 or more.
Buses are $10 per person one way.
Please Note:
These hikes are not for the faint hearted, they are graded as challenging and you need to have some sound hiking distances under your belt if attempting the longer distances.
You do have the choice of doing a shorter route if you prefer, and if you choose this option please consider teaming up with a partner or other ladies.
Please complete the booking form or contact Leonie our SA host direct (leonie@adventurouswomen.com.au) to coordinate joining one of the Adventurous Women ® ™ teams.
