Warm up your legs ladies - we are challenging you to take on the 4 PEAKS in 1 DAY Adventure. For a bit of fun we are changing up the brief a little to ‘Peak Hop' around the Glass House Mountains to test your sense of adventure (and your legs)!
#1 - We start with Mt Beerburrum - a lovely meander through eucalypt forest before we hit the bitumen track straight up to the fire tower at the top. 3.5kms out and back. Make sure if you have any knee troubles they are strapped and stabilised. This beauty will certainly warm up the legs & get the heart pumping!
#2 - Snack in the car as we drive in convoy to nearby Mt Elimbah. This often ignored Glass House mountain is a cutie and at only 1.6kms return and 120m high, this is an easy climb. The track is mostly rocks or bush track and has a 360° view from the top. Happy Snaps, while we’re still smiling.
The Glass House Mountains Lookout - a great place to see where we have been and where we will be going is our scheduled bathroom and snack stop before we take on the last two peaks.
#3 - Mt Ngungun awaits, as does a fabulous view. This 2.5km return track has a few steps up to the top to test the legs yet again!
#4 - Last but by no means least ……...Wild Horse Mountain. We drive past this peak on the way up the coast and all must think, I’ll do that one day. Well today is the day. The 1.4km return bitumen track takes us up to the fire tower - it's short and steep with amazing views.
Our victory photo will be spectacular from this peak and a badge of honour for our first ever 4 PEAKS in 1 DAY Adventure.
Hike Grading is 3 - 4 with the 4 S's
