Come and join us for a social cycle around the Swan River - Perfect for women who are looking to explore cycling for fitness & fun, regain confidence of riding again, beginners & intermediate cyclists just wanting a social ride with a friendly bunch of women.
From the Bayside Kitchen (there is FREE PARKING), we'll head east into city and along the north side to East Perth then over the Matagarup bridge and back along south of the river to South Perth. Then over Narrows bridge back to Matilda bay. The distance we'll ride is 20km, reasonably flat most of the way on a shared walk/cycle path ... the ride is classed as 'medium' due to it's length.
Afterwards if you've got the time, why not join with others and grab a cuppa/some morning tea from the Bayside Kitchen at Matilda Bay and stick around to have a chat. There are also toilets available here at the park.
Meet your AW Host at 9.00am - Bayside Kitchen, Matilda Bay. She'll conduct introductions, check your tyres/bikes, give you a briefing and hand out Hi Viz vests for you to pop on so she can easily identify you while riding, as certain sections of the path can get busy at times.
IMPORTANT: You must have a roadworthy bike, with a bell and you must wear a helmet. Your host will carry a bike pump and puncture repair kit, although she's not a bike maintenance expert (yet)! She will also be carrying a full first aid kit.
