Sheep Station Creek Conservation Area has been protected since 1977. Described as the last piece of original bush in the area - it's great to see it's been preserved. Nestled in the growing urban sprawl, the park is open to walkers and horse riders offering up a quiet location that is an easy escape into nature.
There is abundant wildlife to observe if you have a keen eye for nature: butterfly, lace monitor, wallaby, short beaked echidna, great glider and even a resident koala.
Bird watchers love this location as the variety on offer is spectacular, ranging from Powerful Owls, Honey Eaters, Cockatoo and even the eastern yellow robin to name a few.
We will wander along the trails trying to catch a glimpse of these wonderful native animals whilst enjoying an escape into nature at the end of a busy week. The trails are easy to follow and this is a great introductory walk - not too strenuous’ so there is no need to be super-fit to enjoy this bushy adventure.
