Enjoy a relaxed creative Saturday night out in great company. Grab your favourite bottle of wine, or other tasty beverage and we’ll provide everything else you need for a fun and feel good painting session.
In between sips of wine and funky tunes, the resident artist will teach you some of the basic techniques of painting with acrylics on canvas before taking you through the whole process to create your own masterpiece to take home!
A fridge, water and glassware for wine drinkers is provided as well as a selection of nibbles are available for purchase. Sorry but BYO nibbles are a no go
Please arrive about 15 minutes early so you can meet Chris (your AW host), settle in, pour a glass, grab your supplies, and get acquainted with the studio. Painting usually start about 15 minutes after the session begins so please don't be late.
There will be a few 'dry breaks' so you’ll have time to get up and stretch, dance party, or meet your fellow paint and sippers!
Our theme for the night is unsurprisingly "Wine" but you don't have to paint the same thing as the artist if you don't want to.
While the artist will only lead one painting's steps per session, we encourage you to put your own personalised touches into your artwork. Change the colours, the shapes, paint your own original design, or even have a go at a different painting off our wall. The night (and the canvas) are totally yours.
Secure paid parking is available at GOMA and the studio is a short walk from the Cultural Centre bus station and South Brisbane train station.
