A recent addition to the Adventurous Women® Queensland range, this is a satisfying walk, led by Caron & Kat. It will take you deep into the Tewantin National Park up along the northern tracks to the summit of Mt Tinbeerwah. The trail is uneven under foot and has a few steep sections, however the view from the top more than makes up for the effort we put in.
The 360 views from the top are stunning on a clear day, over to the Noosa North Shore, Noosa Headlands, Lake Weyba, Mt Cooroy and beyond. The summit is also a popular place to find local rock climbers and abseilers taking on the sheer cliffs over the back of the mountain. It is here we stop on the big slab of rock to take in these magnificent views and enjoy a treat from the AW Pantry.
We make our way down Tinbeerwah via the eastern route to check out a secluded waterfall (fingers crossed it rains sometime soon) before heading back into the Tewantin National Park following well managed fire trails to our start point.
Please note: There are no toilet facilities at the trailhead, however there are facilities at the top of Mt Tinbeerwah.
