The walk will take approximately 3 hours and on return we will enjoy lunch in the park with tea & coffee supplied.
Please ensure you bring a mug!
Mt Cordeaux forms the Northern side of Cunningham's Gap.
The track is not overly steep and passes through lush rainforest with moss covered rocks and giant trees and filled with the sounds of bellbirds, frogs, cicadas and other rainforest creatures.
The track is well-graded and signed and as you gain elevation, leads you towards the western side of the mountain towards the Darling Downs before ending at a lookout area that has spectacular views South down the length of the Main Range National Park and also Flinders Peak, Lake Moogerah, Moogerah Peaks, Macpherson Range and North towards the Mistake Mountains.
Toilets are located at the carpark at the start of the hike.
Please let us know if you intend to head to carpark directly and please ensure you're there early.
