Today we are welcoming you to two of the best walks on Tamborine Mountain.
Witches Falls section of Tamborine Mountain National Park is Queensland's first national park, declared in 1908. This is where we will be starting our fabulous day out. A series of stone steps take you down the mountain before we come to a lookout over the falls with views out to the Dividing Range. The track then meanders through a lush rainforests valley before ascending back up the steep zigzag track through open eucalypt forests to the start.
Our journey then continues a short drive away at Curtis Falls track. This enchanting walk takes you past towering flooded gums, strangler figs and staghorn ferns down to the beautiful Curtis Falls and rock pool. We then branch off and head to the lower creek where the track becomes uneven and has creek crossings that involve rock hopping.
Once back at the top we drive to the Tamborine Botanic Gardens for a cuppa and a treat from the AW pantry. Although this is where our adventure finishes, please take this opportunity to explore these beautiful gardens after morning tea or explore the many other attractions that this wonderful area has to offer before heading home.
Each walk takes around 1 1/2 hours and we will be driving a short distance between walks ending up at the Botanic Gardens for morning teaPlease note: There are toilets at the start of both trails and at the Botanic Gardens
