Please make sure you're at the Cnr Thomspon Esplanade and Eagle Street, Victoria Point by 12.30pm to meet Chris (who will be wearing a bright orange AW cap) so we can proceed to Thompson Beach with enough time to be signed in, have your life jacket fitted and do a safety briefing so we get out on the water for 1pm.
Join Chris your local AW Host on a spectacular half day kayaking tour departing Thompson Beach at Victoria Point.
The trip starts from the beach and we will head along the shoreline to Moogurrupum Creek which we paddle up following the incoming tide meandering through quiet wetlands where you will be able to see many of the local bird species, while our expert tour guide will share with you some of the history of the region.
The trip along Moogurrupum Creek takes approximately 1.5 hours after which we return to the beach, park our kayaks and take a 15 min break to enjoy some light refreshments such as homemade cake or muffins as well as your choice of tea, coffee, juice or water.
After our break and feeling refreshed and ready to paddle, we travel around the bay to Victoria Point to discover another side of the bay (approximately 1.5 hours return)
Please try to use only re-fillable water bottles. Do not take any plastic bags out on the water (these are particularly dangerous for our turtles and other sea-life), and ensure you bring back any rubbish with you.
If we are fortunate enough to encounter any animals on the tour - dolphins, turtles and dugongs are occasionally seen – please follow the instructions of our guides and do not paddle towards the animals.
