Together we will walk from Sam Kelly Rd to Gheerulla Falls where we will stop for lunch and possibly a refreshing dip before we head back.
The hike is rated as moderate and passes through a mixture of eucalypt and subtropical rainforest; it does include some hills and creek crossings so a good level of fitness, and a sense of adventure will definitely make this walk more enjoyable.
The guides will provide coffee, tea & a sweet treat at the falls to enjoy during lunch (not provided).
Afterwards join us on a short drive (10 minutes) up the road for an ice-cream or pick up some award winning cheese from the Kenilworth Dairy.
The Mapleton National Park is home to to a wide range of birds including honey-eaters, drongos, shrikes, fantails, thornbills and many other types of wildlife.
For those of you that have walked to Gheerulla via the Ubajee walkers camp this track continues to follow the Sunshine Coast Great Walk..
