Two activities that both help with our balance & strengthening of core muscles - SUP on water & Yoga on land, put them both together and find your balance!
We've designed this package as a wonderful way to wind down on a Sunday afternoon, while having fun, trying something new (if you haven't done either before), enjoying nature and being in the company of like-minded women.
Your afternoon starts at 3.15pm where you meet our Adventurous Women Host/Yoga Instructor at Garvey Park. She'll make you all feel welcome and in turn introduce you to our SUP Guides who will take it from there. Along with our host who'll be joining you on the water, you'll be given instruction on how to use the SUP Board and a safety briefing, prior to being guided on a gentle SUP for approximately one hour. If you can't stand, you can kneel or lay on your tummy - the options are all yours, it's all about participation, having fun and relaxing, no judgement!!
After the Guided SUP, you'll have plenty of time grab a drink of water, go to the toilet, have a chat and use the nearby ablutions to change out of your SUP clothes and into your Yoga attire.
When everyone has re-grouped and mats are placed on the lawn area, our Yoga Instructor will guide you in a series of gentle postures that are sure to provide a wonderful way to stretch and relax the body, followed by a short guided meditation to soothe the soul. This style of yoga is often taught in a way that just about everyone can easily participate, from advanced yogi's to beginners, offering a nurturing and compassionate approach to to the body.
