We will be walking through a mostly canopied forest studded with many beautiful trees around the outskirts of Enoggera Reservoir, the track offers beautiful views of the reservoir and the odd encounter with local wildlife..
Most of the walk is relatively easy but some quite steep hills will offer a challenge to anyone that isn't hike fit (If you're interested in getting hike fit take a look at our training sessions)
Built in 1866, Enoggera Reservoir is the oldest reservoir in Brisbane. It was the third largest dam built in Australia in the 1800s and was one of three dams constructed to store water for Brisbane’s growing population from 1864 to 1916. Today it is one of the few remaining intact and functioning old dams and is heritage-listed.
*For those of you that are more adventurous, a quick refreshing dip in the dam is a must.
You are also welcome to enjoy a cuppa and some morning tea at the Café afterwards at your own expense.
Please Note: There are toilet facilities at the start of this walk
Proof of vaccination MUST be supplied BEFORE the event by emailing a screen shot or appropriate document to office@adventurouswomen.com.au
