Adventurous Women have held a few walks on this beautiful island … This time we are walking our Bribie Island circuit in Reverse! (Now the title makes sense.)
Leaving from the Bribie Island Seaside Museum we head up First Avenue along the shaded bike path to Woorim for an early rest and hot cuppa or cold drink, before heading around Skirmish Point to Woody Bay and Red Beach.
Enjoy conversations, sandy beaches, driftwood sculptures, picturesque sea views of the Pumicestone Passage and Moreton Bay and the chance to see dolphins frolicking in the water!
As we walk past the nature reserve of Buckley’s Hole Environmental Park for some bird watching before continuing to the museum.
Bribie Island is the smallest of the three major sand islands in Moreton Bay, formed from the movement of sand along the east coast over tens of thousands of years.
