Join Caron and Kat for an adventure at the family friendly beachside community of Coolum on the Sunshine Coast. Here you will discover that this little village has adventures right on their doorstep. They have national parks, beachside boardwalks, an esplanade of fun and exciting shops, all across from one of Queensland’s premier beaches that is patrolled for swimming and surfing all year round.
We will start our walk by heading south along the David Low Way boardwalk. The views are stunning with lots of outlooks along the way. The Sunshine Coast has harnessed the full potential of their coastal tracks and made them accessible for all the community and visitors alike. The Sunshine Coast is home to some of the cleanest and finest beaches in the world.
Your guides will then take you along some leafy backstreets beneath the watchful eye of Mt Coolum. This grand volcanic dome presides over the landscape, it is the second largest rock formation in the world – the largest being none other than the sacred rock - Uluru. Before you know it our conversation and laughter will have guided us into a secluded bush track where there is often a large slithering snake that loves to pose for photos.
From here we begin making our way back to the start. The adventure is not over as this section of the walk takes us back via broad walks, beaches & rocky tracks. It is now time to keep a watchful eye out over the ocean below for turtles, sting rays and the beautiful birds of prey.
Once back at Tickle Park you can grab a cup of something fabulous from one of the many local coffee shops, your hosts will have something homemade for you to enjoy with your purchased refreshment. After this we say good-bye until the next adventure.
Those wanting to stay on a bit longer can enjoy a refreshing ocean dip on the Patrolled Beach, boutique shopping and some delicious lunch venues. Why not make a day of it!
