We are hitting the water again! Embark on an exciting half-day kayaking tour along the scenic Canning River! Depending on the paddlers' speed and how often we stop to admire nature, the distance will vary, but it usually covers no more than 8 km in total.
Taking part in this kayaking adventure is not so much about being an experienced paddler, nor one's ability to even have paddled before. It's more about having the willingness and being fit enough to pitch in ....haul, wade and manoeuvre the kayaks (helping one another as Adventurous Women do) through waterways at the beginning, which can be a bit tricky to navigate due to obstacles and water levels. Depending on how fast the paddlers are and how often we stop to look at waterbirds etc, the distance will vary, but usually no more than 8km total.
Meeting Point: Kent Street Weir Park car park, located at the corner of Kent Street and Queens Park Road, in Wilson. The tour ends at the same point after approximately 3 hours.
Start Time: 9 am - 12 noon
We'll enjoy a picnic lunch together (BYO) on the grassed area somewhere close enough to the Canning River Cafe so you can grab a cuppa if you wish.
Free parking is available at a large car park at this location.
