Join highly experienced hiker and guide Chris to learn the essentials of adjusting and using hiking poles ( your body will thank you ) as well as important tips for bush and hike safety before we enjoy a short 2km walk through Whites Hill Reserve putting our skills into practice.
This event is especially suited to those just getting started walking or wanting to take the next step and get "off road" and into the bush.
The trails are well maintained gravel and while there are some hills involved, overall it's a nice easy walk suitable for anyone.
The reserve's vegetation consists of Tallowwood, Grey Gum, Brush Box, Queensland Blue Gum and White Mahogany and even some small instances of Rainforest.
If we get lucky we may be able to spot a few koalas and wallabies along the way. Chris is a "wildlife whisperer" and has let the locals know we're coming.
● We may see Koalas & wallabies if we get lucky
● Increased knowledge of hike and general bush safety
● Learn how to use hiking poles
