Bribie Island - hard to resist! The smallest of the three major sand islands in Moreton Bay, Bribie Island was formed from the movement of sand along the east coast over tens of thousands of years.
Leaving from the Bribie Island Seaside Museum we head past the nature reserve of Buckley’s Hole Environmental Park for some bird watching before continuing along the beach to Woorim.
Enjoy conversations, sandy beaches, driftwood sculptures, picturesque sea views of the Pumicestone Passage and Moreton Bay and the chance to see dolphins frolicking in the water!
After some refreshments at Woorim (at your own expense), we head back on the shaded bike path back to Bongaree.
If you have time afterwards, please feel free to visit the museum and learn about the fascinating past of Bribie Island.
The exhibition Fetch The Doctor! will be on display. Featuring intriguing and sometimes disturbing surgical equipment will leave you thankful for modern medical advancement
Toilet facilities are available near the Museum and at Woorim.
