From the ridges above Cowan Creek, this walk takes in some great lookouts, particularly around Mt Ku-ring-gai, as well as a gorgeous hiking track along the creek. This track really gives you a good taste of what Kuring-gai Chase National Park has to offer. The walk itself is 9.4km and around 4.5 hours in duration, but we've given 6 hours to it, to include breaks, a lunch stop and time to take in the stunning views.
If driving, park at Mount Kuring-Gai station and catch the 9.16 train to Berowra. Our walk will return to the station where you can drive or catch the train back to the city.
