Orienteering involves navigating through bush, parks or streets with the aid of a map and compass, the aim being to find various checkpoints… kind of like a treasure hunt!
It’s an engaging and very enjoyable recreational activity undertaken by people of all different age groups and fitness levels, sometimes solo and other times enjoying the experience within groups.
If you’re keen to give this activity a go, our AW Guides are going to teach the basic skills and techniques to assist you to navigate an easy course, along with a few general pointers. Then the group will be split into teams of 3 to work together to navigate the course we’ve chosen for you …. Great fun, social and a great opportunity to learn something new!!
Due to the demand we've had for this activity, we are now splitting the group into two.
