Nothing like a little nature therapy to feed the soul and re-energise you for the week ahead, so why not take that break you deserve and join Adventurous Women ® ™ on a camp out in the Adelaide Hills! This is sure to be a weekend filled with laughter, new experiences, adventure, friendships and more. We love bringing women together in this environment and we encourage you to come along alone ... perfect opportunity to meet like-minded women and feel supported all the way!

Arrive any time from 4pm
Your Camp Host Sorita will be there to greet you on arrival at reception and direct you to where the group are camping for the weekend. On your arrival at Base Camp, our Adventurous Women ™ Host Leonie will be there to introduce you to other ladies who may already be there and make you feel very welcome. Settle in, familiarise yourself with the campground, amenities, facilities and activities on offer.
As evening falls, it’s time to leave the busy week behind you and relax into the weekend. Leonie will provide some nibbles for you to enjoy around the campfire, so grab a drink, pull up a chair and get to know your fellow campers - a great start to the weekend! Dinner will be prepared for you and served at around 7pm, then afterwards you’re invited to join Leonie on a short night walk around the property to see what animals can be spotted.
Afterwards, it’s back to the campfire for more social time, or if you prefer to just chill out in your tent and relax, read a book, listen to music or sleep ….. Go for it - it’s your time to ‘be’!

Today is full of activities of your choosing! We have chosen a group of activities for you to participate at no additional charge, as they are included in the cost of your weekend package.
For no additional outlay though, you have unlimited use of the following activities which are sure to keep you busy during the allocated time. These are these are listed below:
Challenge Hill - Obstacle Course
Disc Golf
Orienteering Course
Tube Slide - Waterless
Labyrinth - Giant Maze
Bouldering
After challenging yourself (or not) with some or all of the activities, at about 2.30pm Leonie will accompany those who would like to go over to Tapanappa Winery for a tasting. It’s a short walk from the campground and there is a lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the vineyards … a nice place to grab a glass of wine & watch the world go by! As the winery closes at 4pm, you may choose to visit the exquisite Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens afterwards, as they are nearby and open until 5pm. Nibbles will be provided around the campfire once again for social time prior to dinner.

After breakfast, it’s time to pack up camp. Leonie will then guide the group on an 8km return hike along a section of The Heysen Trail which includes The Pioneer Women’s Walk. The walk passes through Woodhouse, so vehicles can be left while you take part in the walk if you wish. The walk is classified as a moderate hike and should suit those with a general level of fitness, however if hiking is not for you, please feel free to leave the group at this stage, try a few more activities at Woodhouse, or you may like to extend your time in the hills by a visit to Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens, or wineries, cafes & other delights in the Adelaide Hills before heading home.

This tour by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is looking for a unique and rewarding 'experience'. This is a Camping Experience - We are utilising un-powered camp sites with a central fire pit, however we do have access to great facilities at our base-camp, including hot showers
Notice of cancellation must be in writing, with an email as an acceptable form of communication, directly to Adventurous Women with the following conditions:
No refund is available after departure of a tour has commenced.
Update 19th September 2019 - ** Due to PayPal changing their policy to now retain fees even when we issue a refund we will be forced to pass this along. This means both partial and full refunds will be less the full fee charged by PayPal
