We leave Perth at 8.00am and travel to The Golden Valley Tree Park where you'll be able to go for a wander and explore. We will make a brief stop en-route for morning tea and to use the toilet facilitates. We'll spend about an hour at the park, afterwards heading to Bridgetown where you can grab some lunch (own expense) and have a squiz at the shops or take a stroll around town. On leaving Bridgetown it's only a short drive to our unique ‘Old Boarding House' accommodation at Donnelly River Village. Time to settle in, crank the fire and enjoy our first group dinner together.

Today we begin our walking journey from the Karri Gully Picnic Spot and into the deep forested areas of the Bibbulmun. You’ll be mesmerized by the beauty of this area, it’s density, it’s soft underfoot, fungi are plentiful and the transition of jarrah and marri trees to the giant karri trees become evident. We finish off our day at Donnelly River Village, which is an experience in itself, as we get up close and personal with the semi-tame Kangaroos and Emu’s who inhabit the area. Today’s walk, although lengthy, is mainly on gentle undulating terrain, which makes it comfortable and very achievable in the time frame given.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
This morning, we leave Donnelly River walking south through Jarrah forest, returning to Karri forest again around the 5k mark, before finishing off in the afternoon at Twin Bridges. Again another stunning area, lots of different varieties of fungi, abundant flora and fauna and massive towering Karri trees.
Today’s walk weaves along gentle undulating terrain until lunch time, when we then encounter a few ups and downs, which makes the walk a little more challenging than yesterday’s. The beauty of today’s walk is sure to take your mind off those little challenging sections.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Another day in paradise! We leave Twin Bridges, where the Donnelly River becomes our companion for the rest of our walk, along with lovely Karri forest, plenty of birdlife, little rapids and valleys to enjoy. We pass through one of the prettiest campsites on the track “Tom Road Campsiteâ€, perched on the river, where you’ll have time to explore, before moving onto Greens Island and finishing early on in the afternoon at One Tree Bridge. No major hill climbs on this day, just enjoy the serenity of the forest, while walking along at a steady pace. When finished on the track today, we board the bus for our trip back to Perth, stopping on the way to grab a bite to eat. We envisage that we will reach the city at around 6.30pm.
